North Loop Limo Logo and Branding

Project Description

North Loop Limo is a high end car service with a primary focus on strong customer relationships and providing a high end experience for the rider. The client wanted an elegant and versatile logo for website, vehicle fleet, business cards, loyalty cards and other marketing materials. Vehicles are high-end and it’s a way to arrive at the destination in style. The logo reflects the luxury experience of the brand. No matter where the logo is used, it is recognizable and the elegance shines through whether it is on a water bottle label or on the side of the vehicle.

Role in Project

Used digital design skill to create a unique and elegant logo. Along with a custom logo, a plan for marketing materials, employee appearance, vehicle graphics/painting suggestions, and overall “brand look” was provided to the client. You will see the royal treatment in action as clients travel in style with North Loop Limo.

Beginning Concepts

North Loop Limo Logo Start
Here was a beginning stage in the ideation process. This was an experimental document, nothing formal to present here. I was basically a “cluttered artboard” but a very valuable part of the design process.

Black and White Logo Concepts

After solid concepts were created, the next step was to look at the logo concepts shown in black and white. It’s important to see the concepts particular option in black and white first, before choosing a color version. It’s important that the logo isn’t 100% color dependent because there are situations where only a one-color logo will be used. An example would be on items that are screen printed, like pens or glassware. Often for promotional items like this, one color is used, both out of necessity or for cost savings. For embroidered items, like shirts, they are often done in one color.

Full Color Logo Concepts

After looking at all of the black and white logo options, the next step is to look at all of them in color. Evolving into this step, there are the same options presented. The space where the logo will be used dictates which variation will be used. There are vertical and horizontal options, as well as, different options depending on the background.

North Loop Limo branding ideas and mood boards

The Winner was Option One!

Mood boards serve as a way to present ideas for the brand. Logos are presented in various scenarios along with other branding elements that tie in with the overall concept. It’s not just the logo that makes a lasting impression. It is the overall experience that makes the company memorable. Unique elements, like how the drivers dress, or custom detailing on the vehicle are part of the overall branding.

The logo works in two colors on this style of vehicle. To give a North Loop Limo a recognizable feature, rear view mirrors are contrasted with red.
