To visually illustrate an overview of how Hosted Lync (now Skype for Business) worked, I created an informational graphic that visually shows how Hosted Lync Voice works. Goal of the marketing campaign was to highlight how companies can collaborate with anyone, anywhere, anytime from any place with Hosted Lync Voice. The diagram was used on various marketing materials to highlight the benefits of Avtex Hosted Lync systems. This solution provides a simple, cost effective collaboration and communications platform within a secure reliable environment.
This is a cloud solution so companies do not need to worry about infrastructure. Cloud hosting keeps employees, customers, and partners connected for a seamless experience for improved communication. With ongoing technical support and reduced maintenance costs, Hosted Lync Voice is an effective communication tool.
Various marketing materials used the custom Hosted Lync diagram. It was a way to visually show how the hosting works and was used as a reference for technical discussions with clients.
Role in Project
As a Lync user, I really didn’t know exactly what went on behind the scenes. To create this diagram, I researched the offering and interviewed unified communications experts to fully understand how Hosted Lync Voice works. From the knowledge I gained, I was able to put all the pieces together into a diagram. Custom illustration was done in Adobe Illustrator. Vector graphics worked best because they had a wide variety of uses and often had to be slightly modified to fit various sizes. From whitepapers to posters, the graphic was informative and easy to interpret.
Made sure graphics were “on brand” and that colors were carefully selected from the brand guidelines.
